There are a number of specific items of information required for a passport. Most of this is clearly visible on the passport itself and if in doubt you should always refer directly to the passport.
When you switch to the passport page, as described in Personal details, you will see the following message displayed:
"The provision of date of birth and passport information is optional, however providing these details within your profile will assist us in being able to add the relevant APIS information to qualifying air reservations."
In order to help you fill in this form, where there may be some confusion, the following may provide some clarification.
Name
You must ensure that, in your Personal details, the name you provide matches the name on your passport, i.e. the name on your birth certificate rather than your nickname. You can provide the name you are called by in the Known as box.
Passport country
Passports are issued to citizens/subjects of specified countries. So for example, a Canadian passport is issued to a Canadian citizen. This is the Passport country. On your passport this may be indicated by the name of the country or a code. To help you when completing the form, click the arrow to the right and select the country from the alphabetical list provided.
Issue place
Check your passport for this information and enter it here exactly as shown.
Issuing state/country of issue
This information is usually the same as the Passport country but you should be aware that in some cases it may be different.
Primary passport holder
In some countries it is possible for more than one person to share the same passport. In such a case, one of the persons named will be the primary passport holder. Select the Primary passport holder check box if necessary. If you are the only person named on the passport, you do not need to complete this information.
Country of residence
If you normally live outside your native country, you should indicate your country of residence in the Country of residence box by clicking the arrow to the right and selecting the appropriate country.
Warning: If you make changes to information on any of the forms, click Save when you have finished. To abort the changes, click Cancel.
Visas
If configured, there will be a separate area on this page for the display and entry of visas attached to the passport. Existing visas are displayed in a table at the top of this area.
To view or edit the detail for a listed visa:
In the table, click Select in the corresponding row. The detail for the selected visa is then displayed below the table where, if necessary, it can be modified. If changes are made, click Save before moving on.
To add a new visa:
Click the New visa button and enter the details as displayed on the visa. Ensure that all mandatory boxes, marked with * are completed.
When ready, click Save.
