Grant employee(s) access to view financial reporting node data

When you link an employee to a reporting node, it enables them to view data from any transactions that are coded against the charge codes attached to the node (and any child nodes that fall under this node). Employees access this data via the Spend - Financial Coding report. Once you have linked an employee to a node, you must also remember to check that they have access to the Spend - Financial Coding report under their Reports menu.

To grant employee(s) access to view financial reporting node data:

  1. From the main menu, select Administration > Instance Management > Financial Reporting.

    The Financial Reporting screen appears.

  2. Click the node you want to add an employee to.

    The reporting node's property window appears.

  3. Click the Add Employee link in the bottom left of the screen.

    The Employee Search window appears.

  4. Use the following field descriptions to define your specific search criteria:

    Number

    The employee ID of this individual within your organization, if known.

    First name

    The first name of the individual you are searching for, if known.

    Last name

    The last name of the individual you are searching for, if known.

  5. Click Search.
  6. Click Grey person in white circle with grey outline to the right of their name.

    The employee name(s) will appear on the properties window for the selected reporting node with an Person with red cross icon beside it.

  7. To remove employees from the reporting node, click Person with red cross.
