Edit/delete approval role
Note: It is not possible to change an approval role type once the role has been created.
To edit/delete an approval role:
- From the main menu, select Administration > Instance Management > Module - Workflow Roles.
The Module - Workflow Roles screen appears.
- From the workflow tree diagram, click the approval role.
Note: You must click the name in the middle of the box, not the edge of the box.
The Edit Approval Role window appears.
- To:
- change the approval role's description, type a new description. To allow any approver linked to the approval role to change the coding of a transaction without re-triggering the workflow and requiring the transaction to be re-approved, select Yes beside Allow Free Changes. Click Save.
- delete the role, click Delete. Note: If there are any rules associated with this role, they will become independent rules.
Approval Role Translations
If multi-language support is enabled for your company and you have the correct administration right (Admin - Company Translations), you can configure your approval role name in the languages your company instance supports. If a user then changes their language setting via their personal settings, the translated value for the approval role name is used wherever the approval role appears in the system.
- Either:
- Click
to the right of the approval role on the Module - Workflow Roles screen, or - Click the Edit Translation link at the top of the Edit Approval Role dialogue box.
The Approval Role dialogue box appears.
- Type translations for each of the supported languages.
- Click Save.
