Regional settings

Regional settings allow you to select an alternative date format for displaying dates throughout the system. It also allows you to choose the numeric format of displayed (not entered) figures, as well as the time zone in which your instance is located.

Note: Any settings you make will override the organization-wide settings configured for your instance of Shared Travel Services.

To set up your regional settings:

  1. From the user menu, select Personal Settings.
  2. Click the Regional Settings button on your Personal Settings screen.
  3. Select your desired date format from the Date Format drop-down list.
  4. Select the language you want the interface to display in.
  5. Select the numeric format you want numbers to use. There are two options: 1,000,000.00 (US standard) or 1.000.000,00 (European standard).
  6. Select the syntax for the way employee names display in the solution from the Name Format drop-down list. Format options are <surname> <forename> or <forename> <surname>.

Note: This option affects situations where the first name and last name appear as a single entity; not where the first name and last name appear separately in two columns.

  7. Select a time zone from the Time Zone drop-down list.
  8. Click Save.
