Edit/delete code type

To edit a code type:

  1. From the main menu, select Administration > Instance Management > Module - Finance.

The Module - Finance screen appears.

  2. Click Left-facing white arrow in purple square to the right of the code type.

The Edit Finance Code Type dialogue box appears.

  3. Make any required changes.

If multi-language support is enabled for your company and you have the correct administration right (Admin - Company Translations), you can configure your code type in the languages your company instance supports. If a user then changes their language setting via their personal settings, the translated value for the code type is used wherever the code type appears in the system.

    1. Click the Edit Translation link at the top of the dialogue box.

The Code Type dialogue box appears.

    2. Type translations for each of the supported languages.
    3. Click Save.
  4. Click Save to return to the Module - Finance screen.

Note: To set up multi-language support, contact your helpdesk.

To delete a code type:

  1. From the main menu, select Administration > Instance Management > Module - Finance.

The Module - Finance screen appears.

  2. Click White cross in red square to the right of the code you want to delete.

Note: You would not delete a code type after a customer has gone live or begun loading their codes, so it is important you get this structure correct during the scoping session. Given the ramifications of taking this action, if you do need to delete a code type after the customer has gone live, you must contact your helpdesk for further advice.
