Currency converter

The Currency converter module provides quick and easy access for converting from one currency to another.

To use the Currency converter module:

  1. Click Enter Currency. The module expands to display the converter form with a brief description at the top.
  2. Type the amount to covert in the Amount box.
  3. If the default currency types displayed are those you wish to use you can leave one or both without change.
    1. To change the Currency From click the arrow to the right of the box and select the required alternative from the alphabetical list provided.
    2. To change the Currency To click the arrow to the right of the box and select the required alternative from the alphabetical list provided.
  4. Click Convert Currency.
  5. A new area is added to the form to display the Currency Conversion Result.
  6. To conduct another conversion, edit the Currency From, Currency To and/or Amount boxes as required and click Convert Currency again.

    Note: The default currencies used can be customized for your preferred requirements but, even when set, you can still convert other currencies as required.

    WARNING! The Currency converter is intended for a rough reference and not for activities demanding precise and accurate conversions of currency.

To change currency converter defaults:

  1. Click EditIcon in the top right corner of the module.

    Note: The icon displays the tooltip, Edit and personalize your Currency Converter module. A dialog box will open on screen.

  2. Click the arrow to the right of the Currency from box and select the required default local currency from the alphabetical list provided.
  3. Click the arrow to the right of the Currency to box and select the default destination currency.
  4. Click Update.
  5. If you decide not to change the defaults, click Close window or click Close close in the top right corner of the dialog.
  6. The pop up window will close and the default currencies are now set.

These settings are linked to your account and are retained for future sessions.
