Travel alerts

Travel alerts are generic alerts relating to all types of travel and all countries. The alerts are displayed in chronological order with the most recent first. In addition, information is provided for the following:

• Severity - icons are numbered from 1 to 5 where 1 is the most severe and 5 is the least severe with colour coding for further clarity:

  	Extreme
  	High
  	Medium
  	Low
  	Minimal

• Country code - the standard international country code applicable for the alert.
• Category - icons indicate the type of alert:

  	General alert		Political
  	Earthquake		Public holiday
  	Fire		Security
  	Flood		Traffic
  	Hurricane		Tsunami
  	Industrial		Volcano
  	Natural disaster		Weather

To the right of the indicators is a headline hyperlink for the item. Click any of the links for full details.

The detail also provides specific information including the date and time of the incident report and the source of the information.

The Travel alerts panel to the right will allow specific searches for an alert within a given month. Further alerts are also listed above so that you can click on any of these rather than returning to the Shared Travel Services home screen for each successive alert you wish to view.

Note: Click the Reset link to return to the default view in the displayed panel. Clicking Reset does not necessarily empty the boxes, nor will it return you to the Shared Travel Services home screen.
