Cancellation penalty

A fee that will need to be paid to the airline if you cancel the flight after it has been purchased.

 

Code share

Two or more airlines are involved in the same flight - one airline sells the flight whilst another operates it.

 

Corporate rate

A lower priced flight that has been negotiated with the airline.

 

Environment policy

The green leaf indicates that a hotel has an environmental policy in place. The number of leaves that are coloured reflect the environmental rating level; one leaf represents the lowest environmental rating and five the highest.

 

First preferred

The features of this flight (e.g. the price or the vendor) match your company’s requirements the closest – it is the favoured choice.

 

In policy

A flight that matches the policies that have been decided upon by your organization.

 

Instant payment

Full payment for the flight is taken at the time of booking as opposed to at a later time.

 

Medical hotspot

A location that poses a higher than average medical risk to travellers, perhaps due to high prevalence of disease, for example.

 

No penalty

There will be no fees to pay if you cancel the flight after it has been purchased.

 

Non refundable

A ticket that cannot be returned for cash or credit once it has been purchased.

 

Out of policy

A flight that does not conform to the policies that have been decided upon by your organization.

 

Penalties may apply

With trips that involve multiple airlines, one or more of the airlines has cancellation penalties in place but not necessarily all of the airlines.

 

Second preferred

The features of this flight (e.g. the price or the vendor) match your company’s requirements the second closest – it is the second favoured choice.

 

Security hotspot

A location that poses a higher than average safety risk to travellers, perhaps due to the outbreak of war, for example.

 

Special rate

A reduced price available under special circumstances and for a limited time.

 

Third preferred

The features of this flight (e.g. the price or the vendor) match your company’s requirements the third closest – it is the third favoured choice.

Wait list

Flights that have this option allow you to go onto a waiting list if the flight is fully booked. People on the list can book the flight in the event of cancellations.
