Finance

Module - Finance is where you set up the customer's financial coding structure. (Note: It only appears in the menu if you have allocated yourself the Admin - Master Configuration administration right.) The work you do here dictates the names and length of the coding fields that show on the Coding tab of the Transaction Details window. If the customer also uses the Cash Management module, it also dictates the view of the coding screen within that module.

Module - Finance also allows you to control how a user must complete the coding fields. For example, you will set up which codes are mandatory, which are optional and which must be used in conjunction with another code. For example, the organization may have a financial coding structure where one code is mandatory and then an ‘either/or’ type requirement may apply to their other codes. In this type of situation, you will need to set up which codes can 'substitute' or 'complement' another.
