Alerts can be customized to suit the traveller and working practises.
To customize alerts:
Click . The Alerts Module Settings form opens. Available modules will depend on your role, your own customizations and the configuration of Shared Travel Services.
Default tab
If your profile permits access to more than one Alerts module, click the option you require for Select default tab. In order to provide a quick update on profile and system alerts, check boxes are provided to enable/disable a pop up that will appear in the bottom right of the browser window when you first log on. These are selected by default, but if you don't want to see this pop up you can click to remove the check mark.
Travel alerts
If Travel alerts are configured, you can select History (in days) for which the alerts are displayed. Click the arrow to the right to select your preference. If the value is set to 1, only alerts for today are displayed. If the value is set to 2, alerts for today and yesterday are displayed and so on.
You can also check the Link to upcoming trips check box. This provides a filter so that, if selected and you have an upcoming trip, only alerts that are likely to impact your trip in geographical terms are displayed.
Profile alerts
If Profile alerts are configured, you can specify the number of days or months before the expiration of the following:
System alerts
If System alerts are configured, you can choose to display a maximum of a specific number of alerts from the archive. To change this, click the arrow to the right of the Number of archive alerts box and select the number you wish to be able to view. alternatively, you can specify that you wish to Show all archives alerts.
When you have made all the required changes, click Update.
